Discover Summer/Summer Programs

At Hampton Roads Academy, the fun doesn’t stop in the summer! Through summer enrichment, students can learn more about their favorite subjects and participate in their favorite activities. HRA’s summer camps and programs are available to all current HRA students, as well as students in the community who are not yet Navigators. These summer camps are a great way for future Navigator families to learn about HRA in an exciting way!

Speciality Camps

We offer a range of exciting specialty camps, with options that are sure to interest every kind of student! Students can choose from academic, sports, junior science, junior engineering, creative, or outdoor-focused camps. Each subject offers many specialty topics to choose from. Prices vary depending on the camp specialty!

Our summer academic programming offers students an opportunity to continue their education in a dynamic and engaging environment. Whether aiming to get ahead, catch up, or explore new interests, students will benefit from a diverse range of courses designed to challenge and inspire. Our experienced faculty provide the same amount of personalized attention in the summer as they do during the school year, ensuring that each student maximizes their potential. With a blend of academic rigor and creative activities, our summer programs foster a love of learning and help students develop essential skills for future success.

Required Paperwork for Campers

In accordance with the Virginia Department of Education and state law, Hampton Roads Academy requires the following paperwork for all campers:

A copy of each camper’s student health form
A copy of each camper’s immunization record
A copy of a birth certificate or legal identification verification

Copies of these forms can be found above and are due the week prior to camp.

Adventure Day Camp

HRA’s Adventure Day Camp is a great option for working parents and families with busy schedules. The camp runs every summer from the morning to the early evening and welcomes children in Grades 1 through 6 (Adventure Day Camp) and ages 3 to 5 (Little Navigators Day Camp). Each week features themed indoor and outdoor activities, including crafts and pool, bounce house, and bowling days. The camp is priced weekly and includes daily lunch and snacks.
